This species is known as a Skillat.

They're known to be nearly hairless, possibly with the thinnest fur, like a horse. Adding hair on areas like the head and tail tip is ok, just. Don’t make it fluffy and fur covered. It's hairless, mostly.
It's usually 260 lbs. or more, being 3-6ft long (at adult), with a lifespan of over 70 years.
They are omnivorous, and indigenous to Australia.
It comes in many colors, from a dark maroon/purple/brown tint, to a light maroon/purple/red tint.
It may be smaller than a kangaroo, but it can back just as much of a punch.
